Permit Types & Where to Park

Virtual Permit Types

Each virtual permit has corresponding permissions that assign where and when the vehicle may park.The permissions are linked to the owner’s account and veri ed via state-issued license plate and 49er ID Card.

Commuter iconCommuter [C]

Available only to Commuter students
Permit is valid on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week in all yellow and orange color-coded areas. Access granted in Lot 15 and Cone Deck at 6:00 p.m.

2-Day iconTwo-Day Commuter Permit

Available only to Commuter students
An economical option for Commuters who are only required to be on campus two days a week. Valid for one semester, only on the days specified, in all yellow and orange color-coded areas. On all other weekdays, these Commuters must pay to park in Visitor Decks or at meters, even after 6:00 p.m.

Night Commuter iconNight

Available only to Faculty/Staff and Commuter students
Night permits are valid only after 3:00 p.m. in all yellow and orange color-coded areas. Access granted in CRI Deck 1 at 3:00 p.m. and Lot 15 and Cone Deck at 6:00 p.m.

Resident icon.Resident

Available only to on-campus resident students
Resident permit is valid 24/7 in all blue and orange color-coded areas. Access granted in Lot 15, Cone Deck and CRI Deck and the lower level of Union Deck at 6:00 p.m.

Greek Village iconGreek Village

Available only to residents assigned to Greek Village
Greek Village permit is valid 24/7 in Greek Village and orange color-coded areas. Access granted in Lot 15, Cone Deck, and CRI Deck 1 at 6:00 p.m..

Lot 6A iconLot 6A

Available only to Faculty/Staff and Commuter students
6A permit is valid 24/7 in parking Lot 6A on Cameron Blvd. (by John Kirk Road). This is a discounted lot served by the Silver campus bus. On holidays/ breaks when bus does not run, vehicles with 6A permits are allowed to park in areas designated for Commuter permits.

Lot 27 iconLot 27

Available only to Faculty/Staff and Commuter students
L27 permit is valid 24/7 in parking Lot 27 on Toby Creek Road near the Harris Alumni House. Lot 27 is a walk-in discounted parking lot, not served by campus buses. (There is a bus stop on Alumni Way near the Harris Alumni House, slightly over 1/10 mile walk.)

Available only to Faculty/Staff
Faculty/Staff  permits are valid on campus 24/7 in green Faculty/Staff lots, yellow and orange Commuter areas, and blue Resident-designated lots except Lot 16. F/S gated parking access is granted only to those who have also paid for premium gated F/S access. F/S Center City parking privileges are available online to F/S working at CCB. This must be requested at time of purchase.

Full-time Center City Commuter [CCC] Valid at Center City weekdays, 6:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. Also Valid as a full-time Commuter [C] permit on main campus.
Center City Night Commuter Valid at Center City nightly (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.) and on main campus as a Night permit (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m).
Center City 2-Day Semester permit valid for two weekdays (6:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.) as selected at time of purchase. Valid on main campus for those same two selected weekdays.
